From here it was moved to Ajgaon in Sawantwadi at the end of the 16th century. However, during Portuguese rule it was finally shifted to Advolpale, where it is present today.

Goddess Sharvani to whom this place is consecrated is believed to fulfill the wishes of her devotees through ‘Kaul Prasad'. Many devotees also carry out "Tulabhar" to make her happy.

Shri Sharvani Devasthan in Goa is famous for holding events like "Vardhpan Day", "Divja Jatra Day" and annual Jatra Day on
Margashirsh Shukla, in November and December. A huge procession is taken out on these days of celebrations.
